Brandimage designs the new architectural concept for SkyTeam lounges

Brandimage, a leading global consultancy of brand equity architects and designers, announced that it has designed the new architectural concept for SkyTeam lounges. The global airline alliance’s Hong Kong lounge is the first to reveal the new airline branding strategy, with Dubai and Beijing lounges opening in the coming months.

The concept designed by Brandimage aligns with SkyTeam’s ambition to create a mindfulness lounge environment for its customers. Natural oak wood, light beige pleather and elegant grey fabrics, contrasting with modern white and refreshing green, result in a relaxing soothing atmosphere allowing travelers to enjoy the moment wherever they are heading to or coming from.

This new lounge concept is an evolution of the existing SkyTeam lounges in London Heathrow, Istanbul and Sydney. Customers will recognize the iconic living wall and the popular wine bar, now set in a new ambience.

Elegance, privacy, individual comfort
Made-to-measure elements and high-end furniture make up the SkyTeam lounge personality, offering an elegant, peaceful and warm space. The wave shaped wooden room dividers convey a particular feeling of protection and privacy. They create separations without ever closing off the space. Various types of seating and services allow each customer to make himself comfortable in his preferred ambience.

Attention to wellbeing & distinctive facilities
A dedicated Yoga Room allows travelers to try SkyTeam’s yoga program before their flight. This relaxing way to stay healthy while on travel is exclusive to SkyTeam, faithful to its claim “Caring more about you”.

For those who have unfinished business, work stations are available at the laptop bar and made-to-measure power tables with integrated plugs and USB charging ports allow customers to charge their electronic devices while sitting in the comfortable armchairs.

Spectacular buffet & Noodle bar
The dining area is set around a spectacular buffet proposing international cuisine all along the day. A specific feature of the SkyTeam Hong Kong lounge is the noodle bar where a chef prepares meals on demand.

The iconic SkyTeam living wall
A real celebration of biodiversity, these wave-shaped vertical gardens are a composition of different species of plants that have been specifically selected to adapt to the prevailing climatic conditions of the lounge. These “vegetal ribbons” deliver a refreshing breath that is a world apart from the ambiance is the closed and artificial spaces of the airport environment.

The exclusive SkyTeam Hong Kong lounge
Hong Kong is SkyTeam’s first VIP Lounge in the Greater China region and the fourth to be opened after London, Istanbul and Sydney. Its opening represents a new milestone in the SkyTeam partnership within the Greater China region.  This spacious facility of around 1 000 square meters can seat up to 230 passengers and has been designed to offer a high-end range of amenities for the thousands travelers using the lounge each year. Features include: a dedicated Yoga Room; a noodle bar, offering cooked-to-order cuisine; a warm and cold buffet; a wine bar; TV room; showers; work stations; and SkyTeam’s iconic ‘Living Wall’ - a botanical feature of all the alliance’s lounges that adds a touch of nature to the travel experience.

Situated in terminal 2 near Gate 15, the SkyTeam Hong Kong lounge is available to First and Business Class and Elite Plus passengers flying on all 12 SkyTeam member airlines serving the airport: Aeroflot, Air France, China Airlines, China Eastern, China Southern, Delta Air Lines, Garuda Indonesia, Kenya Airways, KLM, Korean, Vietnam Airlines, Xiamen Airlines
